Taylor Swift took a walk down memory lane on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and the music video for her new song “I Can See You” is a true blast from the past. The Grammy-winning star tapped her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner to appear in the action-packed music video for her new single.

The music video for “I Can See You” is straight out of a heist movie, and it was directed by Swift herself, like many of her visuals in recent years. The most genius part of the whole ordeal is that she cast her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner in one of the lead roles, along with the Kissing Booth star Joey King.

During a recent concert on her The Eras Tour, Swift dedicated this music video to her fans, saying, “Ever since I started re-recording, I wanted to show a story visually that portrayed the ways that you guys have helped me get my music back.”

Swift also brought out Lautner on stage during a recent show in Kansas and said he was “a very positive force” in her life while she was making the original Speak Now album.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) hit the shelves on July 7, and “I Can See You” was released as one of its six new “from the vault” tracks.
