After three months in theatres, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour set another major box office milestone. After earning $261.6 million globally, The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert film of all time, breaking the record previously held by Michael Jackson’s This Is It.

This concert film chronicles the journey Taylor Swift embarked on during her record-breaking The Eras Tour. It was filmed during three shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California last August and made quite a splash after hitting the theatres on October 13, 2023.

The Eras Tour amassed over $100 million in global pre-sales before it even premiered, and that was just the beginning! This concert film broke its latest record after it opened in China, and grossed around $8.7 million in this market following its debut on December 31, 2023.

AMC Chairman and CEO Adam Aron congratulated Swift for her remarkable and record-setting box office performance with this concert film.

“Her spectacular performance delighted fans around the world and serves as another strong reminder about the power of extraordinary filmmaking and magic of movie theaters,” said Aron in a statement.

The extended version of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour has been available on VOD since December 13, 2023, and features additional performances of songs “Wildest Dreams”, “The Archer” and “Long Live”.
