Taylor Swift gave us one of the most pleasant surprises of the year with her new album Folklore and she immediately rose to the top of the charts. One week after snagging No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Swift is still dominating the chart.

Folklore holds atop the Billboard 200 albums chart for a second week, with a total of 135,000 equivalent album units sold. That’s far less impressive than 846,000 units it earned in its first week, which happened to be the biggest week for any album in 2020.

Swift set several major records with Folklore, and many of the songs from this record did pretty great on Billboard Hot 100. “Cardigan” topped the chart last week, making Swift the first artist to open atop Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 in the same week.

When it comes to the rest of the Billboard 200 chart this week, Folklore was followed by Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon and Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die. Beyoncé re-entered the chart at no. 10 with The Lion King: The Gift thanks to her recent visual album Black Is King.
