When Taylor Swift initially announced The Eras Tour concert film, it was supposed to be shown in a very limited number of territories, but that’s no longer the case. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is officially going global this October and it will be shown in over 100 countries.

Swift took to social media on Tuesday to announce the film’s global release, writing, “The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide…….. 🌎 Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!”

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was filmed during three concerts at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California this August and the singer announced its release a few weeks later. This highly-anticipated concert film was only supposed to screen in North America at the time, but Swift is now bringing it to an additional 7,500 theaters worldwide.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour made quite a splash following its official announcement and earned $37 million on its first day of pre-sales in the United States alone. Its announcement caught the major studios off guard and they shifted the release date of several films set to premiere on October 13 to avoid competing with Swift.
