TBS Cancels “The Detour”

TBC officially confirms that season four of the family comedy, The Detour, is its last. 

The series, which debuted in April 2016 clocked a total of 42 episodes with its season four finale that aired August 20, now serving as its series finale. According to TVLine, the season, averaged 722,000 total viewers and a 0.26 demo rating, down about 30 percent from its previous season.

Created by Jason Jones, The Detour followed parents Nate and Robin, who embark on an innocent road trip from New York to Florida with their kids. But the trip, of course, goes horribly wrong. 

Jones and Natalie Zea starred along with Laura Benanti, Daniella Pineda, Ashley Gerasimovich, and Liam Carroll.

The Detour joins a list of shows canceled by the network including Angie Tribeca, Wrecked, and People of Earth.
