Ted Lasso is returning to coach AFC Richmond and he’s bringing along his alter ego Led Tasso after the team gets demoted to a different division.

The trailer shows Jason Sudeikis’ Ted Lasso appearing to be unaffected by the team’s recent demotion, but after their future starts to look unclear, he introduces players to Led Tasso and his coaching methods start looking bizarre. We also see Rebecca (Hannah Waddinghamand) and Ted bonding and Roy (Brett Goldstein) and Keeley’s (Juno Temple) relationship stronger than ever.

Ted Lasso is based on a series of Sudeikis-fronted promos from 2013 for NBC Sports. He plays a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England. Also starring in the series are Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, and Nick Mohammed.

Ted Lasso was renewed for a second season back in August 2020, just days after it premiered. In October 2020, it was picked up for Season 3. The show has won several awards including three Critics Choices, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild.

Season 2 debuts on July 23. Watch the trailer below.
