“Ted Lasso” Season 2 Gets Release Date and Trailer

Ted Lasso is returning for a second season and it’s gotten a premiere date and trailer. The show will return on July 23rd.

Jason Sudeikis plays the titular character, a small-time college football coach from Kansas who’s hired to coach professional soccer in England, even though he has no experience. Starring alongside Sudeikis are Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, and Nick Mohammed. Sarah Niles is joining the cast this season.

The trailer shows Lasso in good spirits as he gets AFC Richmond prepared for a new season they have to win in order to get back into the big leagues.

The show has been renewed for a third season before season two has premiered.

Ted Lasso has been cleaning up at awards season, including winning a Golden Globe and SAG Award for Sudeikis and winning every award it was nominated for at the 2021 Critics Choice Awards which included Best Comedy Series, Best Actor for Sudeikis, and Best Supporting Actress for Hannah Waddingham.
