The most prestigious award ceremony in the world of cinema, the 90th Academy Awards, wrapped up on Sunday night. Unlike some previous years, we didn’t have clear favorites in some of the most important categories on the 2018 Oscars, including the Best Picture where any of the nine nominees could easily get the award.

Still, it was Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water that ended up getting the most votes from the Academy’s voters. The Shape of Water was the movie with most nominations on this year’s ceremony with 12 and ended up winning three more awards including the Best Director award for del Toro.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, movie that was favored by previous awards shows, ended up receiving Oscars in Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor categories. Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk took home three awards, while Blade Runner 2049, Coco, and Darkest Hour won two each.

The 2018 Oscars ceremony was hosted by comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who served as a host the year before as well.
