They may be years away, but our attention has already turned to the 2021 and 2022 Oscars ceremonies.

The Academy Awards, which concludes the month-long awards season, is typically held at the end of February.

Next year’s ceremony, however, has been set for the beginning of the second month, on February 9th, 2020, with many in the industry unhappy as other award ceremonies and events have had to be moved earlier.

It seems all will go back to normal in 2021 and 2022 though.

The 93rd and 94th Academy Awards are set to be moved back to the end of February to accommodate sporting events such as the Super Bowl and 2022 Olympics Games.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has now confirmed the dates for its upcoming ceremonies as February 28th, 2021 and February 27th, 2022, respectively.

Now all that’s needed is the films to compete!
