The Blacklist has been an essential part of NBC’s programming for a whole decade, but all good things must come to an end. The acclaimed crime drama led by James Spader will soon come to a close and its upcoming tenth season will serve as its final chapter.

Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, announced the show’s cancelation and thanked everyone who made this series an integral part of NBC’s storied history over the past decade.

“It isn’t often that a series resonates so deeply with an audience that it airs for 10 seasons, but The Blacklist proved to be a perfect combination of highly talented producers, stellar writing, a cast that never failed to deliver, and a crew that always rose to the occasion,” said Katz in a statement.

The Blacklist premiered on NBC in 2013, and it centered on Raymond Reddington, one of the FBI’s Most Wanted fugitives, who voluntarily turns himself in and tries to trade his secret list of the most dangerous criminals in the world for immunity.

In addition to Spader in the lead role, the series also starred Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, and Harry Lennix. Season 10 will premiere on February 26, and the series will hit the 200-episode mark before ending its run.
