One of the most underrated shows on TV has just been picked up for another season! Freeform renewed The Bold Type for Season 4, and they’ll be bringing a new showrunner on board.

This dramedy follows three best friends working at a fictional Scarlet Magazine and trying to navigate love, friendship and career in New York City. It was inspired by the life of Joanna Coles, former editor in chief of Cosmopolitan.

Lead stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy shared the news about the show’s renewal during Freeform’s portion of the Disney upfront presentation in New York City.

“This show is so important to us and our fans because regardless of who you are, we are all just trying to navigate the mess of our lives. And we are so excited to be coming back for Season 4! Here’s to more bold stories, friendship and a whole lot of rosé,” said the trio.

Amanda Lasher, who served as showrunner of The Bold Type for the last two seasons is leaving her spot. Wendy Straker Hauser will replace her when this series returns for Season 4.
