The creators of The Boys have teased a new superhero set to be joining the infamous Seven in season two.
The superhero series follows a group of rebels who each have their own personal vendetta against the Seven. The Seven are a group of superheroes who have an inflated amount of power and can subsequently do whatever they want.
In the second season, a new member will be introduced to the group. The character is named Stormfront and is the female adaptation of the character of the same name in the comic books. The character is seen as a cross between Shazam! and Thor.
Stormfront is set to be played by Aya Cash. Cash told Entertainment Weekly: “I think Stormfront is like a nuclear bomb that goes off in the Seven. Maybe nuclear bomb isn’t the right word. We’re in Chernobyl. There you go. It’s a Chernobyl thing.
“I think she’s here to blow up Vought. She’s here to try to get Vought back to the original idea behind creating superheroes… And she can be quite the feminist. There’s a lot of, I wouldn’t say misdirect, but she also is a very empowered woman.”
Season two of The Boys will be released in July, 2020.
