Dear reader, we have some news that will surely delight your senses.

In light of the massive success that Bridgerton has become, it is hardly surprising that a spin-off of the Netflix series is in the works! The forthcoming show was announced back in May last year and will focus on the older generation of characters during their youth.

India Amarteifio has already been cast as the lead: the younger version of Queen Charlotte. According to the series’ description, it will tell “the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”

One of the great love stories mentioned on the flagship show is, of course, that between Violet and Edmund, the parents of the eight Bridgerton children. The spin-off has now found its young Violet.

The character, who is played by Ruth Gemmell in the OG version, will be portrayed by Connie Jenkins-Greig. The character has been described as a kind and inquisitive teenager who has not yet entered the marriage mart. As such, we will meet her parents, Lord and Lady Ledger, who will be brought to life by Keir Charles and Katie Brayben, respectively.

Corey Mylchreest has been cast as Young King George and Arsema Thomas as Young Agatha Danbury.
