During a table read and Q&A to reminisce about the show, the creator of Community, Dan Harmon, hinted at the second half of the show’s “Six Seasons and a Movie.”

Donald Glover, who was among the cast who read the Season 5 episode “Cooperative Polygraphy,” said during the Q&A that although “we can’t make movies right now,” he would be down for a film with his co-stars who also said they have a desire to do a Community movie.

During previous interviews, star Joel McHale suggested that Glover might be too busy to join because of his music career as Childish Gambino and his TV career with Atlanta.

The show has gained a lot of attention since it was added to Netflix on April 1 and creator Dan Harmon talked about how he has much more appreciation for the show now that time has passed since the last episode which aired in 2015, “When I watch the episodes now, I have these waves come over me of like, first of all, my writers were amazing and probably didn’t get rewarded for it as much as maybe I thought the job was, but second… the whole cast is just like a machine on a basketball court that automatically slam dunks everything that you put onto the court.”

In addition to reminiscing about moments like when they first heard Glover’s mix tape and the time Jack Black was a guest, the cast talked about what their characters would be doing during the pandemic.
