We’re saying goodbye to Litchfield Penitentiary this year, but the ladies are going out with a bang.
After 7 years behind bars, Orange is the New Black will finally be eligible for parole in July as it embarks on its final season.
It was confirmed last October that the seventh season would be the last of the show from Jenji Kohan that is loosely based on the memoirs of Piper Kerman who spent 13 months in jail on charges of felonious money-laundering. The character of Piper has been played by Taylor Schilling since the Netflix series’ inception.
The new trailer for the seventh and final season takes us on a behind-the-scenes venture as the cast of Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne, and Dascha Polanco sing the show’s theme song, “You’ve Got Time” by Regina Spektor.
Prepare to hang up your jumpsuits on July 26th.
