Sandra Oh is starring in a new Netflix comedy series, The Chair and she’s ready to take over the university.

The series follows Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim (Oh) who’s ready to take on her new role as Chair of the English department at Pembroke University. As the first woman to chair the department and one of the only staff members of color, she’ll face challenges along the way.

Kim tells her colleagues in the trailer that the department is “in dire crisis.” I feel like someone handed me a ticking time bomb”, she adds, “because they wanted to make sure a woman was holding it when it explodes.”
