Emma Corrin got their big break thanks to The Crown and we’ll soon get to see them in many exciting new projects. The Golden Globe-winning actor will play a mystery role in Deadpool 3, alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
Deadpool 3 will mark the first Deadpool movie officially set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and details about this project are being kept under wraps. Not much is known about Corrin’s role, but Deadline reports they’ll most likely play a mystery villain.
Corrin’s casting isn’t the only reason to be excited about this superhero sequel. Deadpool 3 will also mark the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, while Leslie Uggams will reprise her role as Blind Al from the previous two films. Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are returning to write the script, while Shawn Levy is coming on board as a director after collaborating with Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project.
The news of Corrin’s casting comes only a day after they were cast in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, alongside Lily Rose-Depp, Bill Skarsgard, and Nicholas Hoult. Corrin is best known for their Golden Globe-winning portrayal of Princess Diana on the fourth season of The Crown, and we’ve seen them lead period dramas My Policeman and Lady Chatterley’s Lover last year.
