“The Crown” Season 3 to Premiere in November

Tobias Menzies and Olivia Colman in "The Crown"

The premiere date for Netflix’s The Crown has finally been announced.

The streaming giant confirmed the news Monday.

The third season of the acclaimed series will be back November 17 — nearly two years after the second season premiered.

The upcoming season spans the years 1964-77. It stars Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret. The three leads replace Claire Foy, Matt Smith, and Vanessa Kirby, who played the roles in seasons 1 and 2.

A fourth season is also in production, but Netflix has yet to confirm when it would premiere. At least we have some new footage from the upcoming season of award-winning Colman as the monarch.
