The Crown‘s Emma Corrin will be playing another high-profile society woman in the romance drama Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

The film is based on D.H. Lawrence’s novel and follows Lady Chatterley, who is born into wealth and privilege, and ends up marrying a man she doesn’t love and starts an affair with a gamekeeper on their English estate. She falls in love with the gamekeeper and breaks traditions to be with the man her heart desires.

Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre, whose credits include The Mustang, Mrs. America, and The Act, will be directing the film. Penning the script is Life of Pi screenwriter David Magee.

Corrin is fresh off of a Golden Globe win for Best Actress in a Television Series (Drama) and a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Diana in The Crown.

Corrin also appeared in Misbehaviour, starring Keira Knightley, Keeley Hawes, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The actresses’ next role is opposite Harry Styles in the romantic drama My Policeman.
