Many of The CW’s shows most popular series were canceled last year, but Walker was one of the lucky few not to get the axe. This show is still thriving in the face of Nexstar’s acquisition of The CW, and it’s just been renewed for its fourth season.

The Season 3 finale will air on The CW later this week, and another chapter is already on the way. Its renewal makes sense given its strong ratings, and Walker even happens to be the network’s most-watched linear show this season.

Brad Schwartz, president of entertainment for The CW Network, said they’re thrilled to stay in business with their partners at CBS and they can’t wait to bring Walker back for another season.

“Over the past three seasons, Walker has become the top performing series on The CW with a passionate fanbase and a fantastic cast and creative team led by Jared Padalecki, who has now been a leading man on the network for over twenty years,” said Schwartz in a statement.

Padalecki echoed his words, saying he’s excited and grateful to continue the Walker legacy for another season and make it bigger and better than ever.

Season 4 will feature a total of 13 episodes, and it will also star Ashley Reyes, Keegan Allen, Violet Brinson, Molly Hagan, Kale Culley, Coby Bell, Jeff Pierre, Mitch Pileggi, and Odette Annable.
