As some of the biggest shows on the CW come to an end – such as The 100, Supernatural, Arrow, Jane the Virgin, iZombie and Crazy ex-girlfriend – it is interesting to check what the future holds for the youth-oriented network.

The network’s president Mark Pedowitz has spoken about it during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour and hinted a new spinoff of Arrow is not out of the question.

“Nothing is ever 100 percent done. You learn that over time,” said Pedowitz. “We haven’t had a discussion about what that storyline will do as we plot the next generation of DC shows. There is another property we’re looking at for the following season.”

As Arrow has already spread and spawned other spinoffs as The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman it does not seem unlikely that another one is in the making. Pedowitz himself said as much. “Who would have thought it (Arrow) would have spawned a whole universe that they managed to create. It’s quite a remarkable feat,” he said.
