The Trekkies of the world just can’t wait to the franchise’s new series Star Trek: Picard and details about the show are being leaked in a steady stream.

The latest bit of news is we will probably get to see Robert Picardo who played the role of the Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH) on Star Trek: Voyager, as well as its creator Lewis Zimmerman, joining the show in its second season.

“I am pleased that they (CBS) have expressed interest in me,” said Picardo to Trekkie Girls at London Film and Comic-Con. “They have reached out to my agent about next season. So I’m looking forward to seeing what it is. As you know I play two characters, primarily the Doctor but also Lewis Zimmerman.

Other beloved characters are already known to appear in the first season. Characters like Riker, Troy, Data and Seven of Nine. And now maybe one more will join the merry group.

The show is due to premiere on CBS All Access in late 2019/early 2020.
