The Females are Getting “Fast and Furious”

How many The Fast and the Furious spin-offs are there?

The answer is: not enough!

The original series, starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and the late Paul Walker, has 8 titles, with another 2 expected before the series concludes by 2021.

But while those instalments are being revved, a pair of spin-off movies are in the works. The one we already know of is set to feature Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, respectively. Vanessa Kirby also joined the cast of the film, with Idris Elba confirmed as the villain.

While we await Hobbs and Shaw (which will be released on August 2nd, 2019), Diesel has given us something else to look forward to. The 51-year-old has confirmed production of another spin-off — one which will have the females in the driving seat.

In addition to the two films, a Fast and the Furious television series will be launched on Netflix.
