The eight-episode dark comedy is based on the original Wondery podcast of the same name, which is inspired by true events. Dr. Ike is infiltrating Marty’s life with Marty’s unsuspecting wife Bonnie (Wilson), and although Marty may be blind to the shrink’s abuse of power, his sister Phyllis (Hahn) isn’t.

The script was written by Emmy, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and WGA Award winner George Prichett. Michael Showalter and Jesse Peretz directing.
