“The Handmaid’s Tale” Star Explains Season Four Delay

We could have to wait until Autumn 2020, if not 2021.

The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss has revealed why there has been a delay in delivering season four. The show typically airs annually in summer only there is still no 2020 release date for the show in sight.

Speaking with Digital Spy, Moss has explained why we are having to wait patiently for news on the season four release date.

“Part of the reason why it’s taken a little bit longer, besides just timing, is that we are making it a bit of a bigger season this year,” she said. “We’re really stretching the limits of our capabilities, production wise, and we’re on the move a lot”

She continued: “We’re not sitting in a studio between four walls very much, so it really is a bigger season and that’s taken a little [longer]. I’ve been in Toronto since mid-January prepping.”

If season four is going to be bigger and better than anything we have seen before, waiting a few extra months suddenly doesn’t seem so bad. Still, we’d appreciate an official announcement on the release date soon.
