The Kelly Clarkson Show is here to stay. NBCUniversal just announced that the popular daytime talk show, hosted by Grammy Award-winning singer Kelly Clarkson, is getting two more seasons. This will extend the show’s run at least through 2023.

The Kelly Clarkson Show debuted in late 2019 to great ratings and became the most-watched new talk show since 2012 with 1.6 million daily viewers. It quickly gained a loyal audience thanks to a mix of celebrity guests, stories from everyday life, humor, and great music, among other segments.

The program also received critical acclaim, being praised for its concept, diversity, and Clarkson’s performance in a host’s role.

“One ray of sunshine in this wildly unpredictable year is that we get to continue to deliver to stations and fans a show that brings people together,” said NBCUniversal’s vice president Tracie Wilson in a statement.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is currently in its second season, which kicked off on September 21st with a special episode featuring DJ Khaled, John Legend, and Bob Saget as guests. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the new episodes are currently taped in the studio in front of a virtual audience.
