The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber gave us one of the unofficial songs of the summer with “Stay” and found incredible success on the charts with their first collaboration. This song hit no. 1 back in mid-August, and it’s continuing its reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart four weeks later.

“Stay” originally hit the shelves on July 9th, and it managed to draw 63.4 million radio airplay audience impressions, 31.7 million U.S. streams, and 13,700 downloads during its most recent week on the chart. It was released as the lead single from Laroi’s mixtape F*ck Love 3: Over You, which also managed to reach no. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

“Stay” is Laroi’s very first no. 1 single, but it happens to be Bieber’s eighth—and that’s not the only thing that makes it special. With its Hot 100 triumph this week, “Stay” became Bieber’s second-longest-running hit on the chart only behind “Despacito”, his collaboration with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

When it comes to the rest of the chart this week, Ed Sheeran’s “Bad Habits” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” are holding at no. 2 and no. 3 respectively. Doja Cat and SZA hit no. 4 with “Kiss Me More”, while Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow jumped up to no. 5 with “Industry Baby”.
