The Last Thing He Told Me generated a lot of buzz since premiering on Apple TV+ last month, and its viewership numbers certainly reflect that. The Jennifer Garner-led series became the most-watched limited series to ever premiere on this streaming platform.

Variety reports that the series reached 4.5 million unique viewers in its first 31 days of streaming, according to Nielsen data. Its premiere alone was watched by 3.4 million viewers, becoming Apple’s most-watched drama episode of the year so far.

The Last Thing He Told Me is far ahead of some of the most popular limited series to premiere on Apple TV+ since its launch in 2019, including Black Bird (2.6 million viewers) Slow Horses (1.9 million), Echo (1.4 million), and Shining Girls (1.3 million).

The Last Thing He Told Me is based on Laura Dave’s novel of the same name, and it centers on a woman who must forge a relationship with her teenage stepdaughter in order to find her husband, who has mysteriously disappeared.

In addition to playing the lead role, Garner also executive produced the series alongside Hello Sunshine’s Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter. The series also stars Angourie Rice, Aisha Tyler, Augusto Aguilera, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
