The Magicians have been bringing magic into our world for five years, but all good things must come to an end. This fantasy series will go off the air after its fifth season, which is currently airing on Syfy.
Representatives of the network shared a statement announcing the cancelation and thanked everyone who made it what it is – from the cast and crew to the fiercely loyal fans.
“As we near the end of this journey, we want to thank John McNamara, Sera Gamble, Henry Alonso Myers, Lev Grossman, and our entire brilliant cast, crew, writers, and directors for their beautiful creation. But most of all, we thank the fans for their tremendous support and passion,” reads a statement by Syfy.
The Magicians followed a group of students, who discover that the magic they read about as children is real, after being recruited to a secretive academy. The last episode of Season 5 is expected to air on April 1st, and it will serve as a series finale.
