We’re finally getting a look at the much-anticipated second season of The Mandalorian which is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 30.

Although we don’t get to see much of the new additions to the cast including Timothy Olyphant, Rosario Dawson, and Temuera Morrison, based on the trailer, we can see that the second season will pick up right where the first season ended with The Mandalorian and The Child continuing their journey and trying to stay safe from the Imperial Remnant officer Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).

Pedro Pascal’s The Mandalorian is given the task of returning The Child to his home planet.

“The songs of eons past tell of battles between Mandalore the Great and an order of sorcerers called Jedi,” the Armorer tells the Mandalorian.

“You expect me to search the galaxy and return this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?” he replies.

“This is the way,” she says.

In the trailer, we see a mysterious hooded woman who appears before The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda and then vanishes. The pair are then seen traveling by sea, land, and air and ending up in a sparring match where The Mandalorian battles the bad guys and Baby Yoda hides under his hover-stroller.

Not much else is known about the upcoming season. Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, and Giancarlo Esposito will be returning from Season 1 and Timothy Olyphant, Rosario Dawson, and Temuera Morrison have been added to the cast.

There’s already a third season in the works.
