The Matrix 4 is one of many movies that had to stop shooting as the COVID-19 started spreading around the globe, but it’s getting back on track. Production will resume in Berlin, Germany after a five-month hiatus.

Keanu Reeves recently discussed this project with Associated Press and said they have “some really thoughtful, effective protocols in place.” He also praised the creative masterminds behind this project for their hard work and organizational skills.

“Everyone loves the project and if you’re ever going to get in a situation that needs to be figured out… show business people are the best. We’re scrappy, we know how to get stuff done, we’re inventive, we think on our feet. It’s a great honor and I’m grateful to be working,” said Reeves.

After the shooting delay, the release date of The Matrix 4 has been moved to April 1st, 2022. In addition to Reeves, it will also star Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, and Jonathan Groff.
