“The Morning Show” Team On What to Expect From Season 2

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in "The Morning Show"

The Morning Show is one of the projects that put the newly launched streaming service Apple TV+ on the map, and its second season is on the way. The creative masterminds behind this drama discussed its future at the TCA press tour and revealed what the new chapter of this story holds.

Reese Witherspoon attended the panel alongside her co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Billy Crudup, and executive producers Mimi Leder and Michael Ellenberg, and offered a couple of hints about what they’re planning to explore in the next season.

“I feel like at the end of these ten episodes, there’s a whole new world order. It’s chaos. No one knows who is in charge and what leadership means at this point. I think that’s what we’re exploring in the culture right now as it goes topsy turvy, what is the new normal?” said Witherspoon.

The creators of The Morning Show also discussed everything from the mixed critical reaction to this series to Steve Carell’s potential return. The The Office star only signed a one-year contract, and they’re exploring the possibility of bringing him back, but nothing is certain just yet.
