Just when we thought we couldn’t get more excited about Barbie, the masterminds behind this highly-anticipated movie proved us wrong. The new teaser trailer for Barbie is here, along with two dozen character posters showcasing the roles of the film’s star-studded cast.
Greta Gerwig’s latest film will take us to Barbie Land, which is a perfect place to live – unless you’ll having a full-on existential crisis. The final scenes of the trailer show our favorite doll leaving Barbie Land behind and heading to the “Real World”—with Ken and his rollerblades by her side.
Gerwig’s film will feature several different versions of Barbie and Ken, such as Doctor Barbie, President Barbie, Gymnast Barbie, Mermaid Barbie, and many more. Iconic Mattel dolls Allan and Midge are also expected to appear, and the film will feature several human characters.
In addition to Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, the new posters give us a look at the rest of the star-studded cast, with cheeky captions revealing their roles. The film also stars America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Nicola Coughlan, Dua Lipa, and Helen Mirren, among others.
