The Next Two “John Wick” Movies Will Be Shot Back to Back

If John Wick happens to be one of your favorite action franchises, we’ve got some epic news for you. John Wick 5 has been confirmed, and it’s going to be shot back to back with John Wick 4.

According to Lionsgate’s CEO John Feltheimer, the next John Wick movie is coming our way on May 27, 2022, and its sequel will hit the theaters earlier than expected.

“We’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theatres Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year,” said Feltheimer.

Director Chad Stahelski discussed the future of this franchise back in late April and said it’s highly unlikely they’ll start shooting this year due to Keanu Reeves’ commitment to The Matrix 4. The production on this film was halted back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and he won’t be able to start working on John Wick before it wraps up.
