After just one season on The CW, The Republic of Sarah has been canceled.

The series centers around a small town in New Hampshire that discovers there is valuable mineral underneath it. A mining company has plans to take the mineral and destroy the town while doing so. That’s when high school teacher Sarah Cooper (Stella Baker) makes a plan to have the town declare independence and become its own country.

In addition to Baker, Luke Mitchell, Hope Lauren, Nia Holloway, Ian Duff, Forrest Goodluck, Landry Bender, Izabella Alvarez, and Megan Follows starred in the series.

Jeffrey Paul King, Marc Webb, Mark Martin, Jeff Grosvenor, Irene Litinsky, and Leo Pearlman executive produced.

The show was originally in the works at CBS with a pilot order, but they passed on it before The CW picked it up and ordered a new pilot with a new cast. In May 2020, it was ordered to series at The CW, but it didn’t find much of an audience on the network.
