After giving us one of the best TV performances of the year in Normal People, Paul Mescal just scored a role in another epic project—the Rolling Stones’ music video for their latest single, “Scarlet”.

The video was filmed in a socially distanced Claridge’s hotel in London, and it’s truly a wild ride. It shows Mescal dancing around at an empty hotel, lip-syncing to the song’s lyrics, and having the time of his life.

“Scarlet” isn’t a new song by The Rolling Stones. They actually recorded it all the way back in 1974 with Jimmy Page, and according to Keith Richards, their initial plan was to simply record a demo.

“Scarlet” is set to be released on the upcoming deluxe edition of Goats Head Soup, the band’s chart-topping album from 1973. It will hit the shelves on September 4th, and feature remastered versions of the songs on the album, several demos, outtakes, alternative mixes, and one of the shows from the Goats Head Soup tour.
