The Rolling Stones really kept us waiting for some new material, but their latest single, “Living in a Ghost Town”, was worth it. Fans couldn’t wait to hear the song and it quickly hit no. 1 on iTunes.

“Living in a Ghost Town” is the band’s first song to ever top the chart on this streaming platform, and also their first original release since 2012. The music video for “Living in a Ghost Town” features footage of empty city streets, filmed all across the globe.

Mick Jagger said she wrote the lyrics for this track alongside Keith Richards in only ten minutes. They’ve started working on it last year and finished it remotely because they felt now’s the best time for the world to hear it.

“So the Stones were in the studio recording some new material before the lockdown and there was one song we thought would resonate through the times that we’re living in right now,” said Jagger in a press release.
