Netflix just dropped the first trailer for You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, and it’s one epic family affair! Adam Sandler takes a backseat and lets his daughters Sadie and Sunny Sandler shine in the spotlight in the hilarious first teaser for this teen comedy.
According to Netflix’s official logline, You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah centers on Stacy and Lydia, two BFFs who’ve always dreamed about having epic bat mitzvahs. Once that moment finally comes, things start to go comically awry when a popular boy and middle school drama threatens their friendship and their rite of passage.
You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah is based on the young adult novel of the same name by Fiona Rosenbloom. Alison Pack was in charge of adapting it to the big screen, while Sammi Cohen hopped on board as a director.
This film was produced by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, and he wanted to make it a family affair. The Uncut Gems actor plays one of the supporting roles in the film, alongside his daughters Sadie and Sunny Sandler and wife Jackie Sandler. The supporting cast includes Samantha Lorraine, Idina Menzel, Dylan Hoffman, Sarah Sherman, Dan Bulla, Ido Mosseri, Jackie Hoffman, and Luis Guzmán.
