Christopher Nolan never ceases to surprise.

The Dunkirk director decided to drop the trailer for his latest feature before the preview of the Fast & the Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw.

Not much is known about Tenet, other than it is an action thriller about a spy network.

John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Clémence Poésy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Kenneth Branagh have all been attached to star.

Nolan chose not to release the trailer online, but those in the audience claim that it included Washington walking slowly towards a window with broken glass, as well as brief footage of him fighting and wearing a gas mask.

The short clip also contained the taglines, “The time has come for a new protagonist,” and “The time has come for a new kind of mission.”

Nolan himself has written the screenplay for Tenet which is scheduled for release on July 17th, 2020.
