If you want another proof that The Weeknd and Ariana Grande are a match made in heaven, the success of their “Save Your Tears” remix is just the thing you need. The new version easily topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the sixth number-one single for both artists.

“Save Your Tears” found significant success on the charts even before Grande hopped on the remix and peaked at no. 4. Her involvement brought it over the finish line, and attracted 30.4 million streams in the US in the week following its release on April 23rd.

The remix of “Save Your Tears” is the third song from The Weeknd’s album After Hours to reach no. 1, after “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights”. To make the whole thing even more impressive, these three songs topped the Billboard Hot 100 in three different years. The Weeknd is also the first artist since Drake to have three singles from the same album hit no. 1.

“Save Your Tears” isn’t the first song that united The Weeknd and Ariana Grande. They previously collaborated on the 2014 smash hit “Love Me Harder” and one of the tracks from Grande’s 2020 album Positions, titled “Off the Table”.
