The Weeknd and Future are a match made in heaven and they joined forces on several occasions over the years. Their latest collaboration “Double Fantasy” is here, and it will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming HBO show The Idol.

This is only the latest in the long line of collaborations between the duo, who previously recorded songs “Low Life,” “Drinks on Us,” and “Comin Out Strong” by each other’s side. They co-wrote the song alongside Mike Dean and Metro Boomin, who also co-produced it alongside The Weeknd.

“Double Fantasy” shares its title with John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s studio album of the same name, which is a fitting connection given the premise of The Idol. This HBO series will explore a complicated relationship between the rising pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) and the mysterious self-help guru Tedros (The Weeknd).

Music is expected to play a big part in this HBO drama series, and its cast consists of several acclaimed musicians, including Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Tunde Adebimpe, Tyson Ritter, and Blackpink’s Jennie. Dan Levy, Jane Adams, Rachel Sennott, and Hari Nef also star.

The Idol will premiere on HBO on June 4, and The Weeknd himself created the soundtrack for this series alongside Mike Dean.
