The Weeknd has been teasing his fifth studio album for quite some time, and it seems we won’t have to wait for it much longer. The Canadian singer announced that his next album is “complete” and shared some exciting updates about this highly-anticipated album.

The Weeknd dropped some major news about his upcoming album, being developed under the working title Dawn, during a recent episode of his Apple Music 1 radio show Memento Mori. He promised some exciting features coming out this fall and revealed the album is missing only a few pieces to be 100% done.

“Album is complete. Only thing that’s missing is a couple of characters who are key to the narrative—some people that are near and dear to me, some people that inspired my life as a child, and some that inspire me now. More to come in the following months,” said The Weeknd.

The singer’s upcoming fifth studio album will serve as the follow-up to his groundbreaking After Hours, which produced chart-topping singles “Heartless”, “Blinding Lights”, and “Save Your Tears”. The Weeknd already gave us a taste of his new album with lead single “Take My Breath”, which came out this August and peaked at no. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
