After weeks of build-up to the release date of After Hours, The Weeknd has finally revealed that the album will be out on March 20.

The Weeknd is set to perform songs from the new album on Saturday Night Live on March 7.

The full-length album follows the singer’s Platinum-certified singles “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights,” which were released last fall. Both songs have an 80s vibe and they are more upbeat than his songs from last year’s EP My Dear Melancholy.

To build-up to the album’s release, The Weeknd teased on Twitter back in August that he’s in “album mode full effect” and he’s had live performances on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Blinding Lights” was also the soundtrack at the Mercedes-Benz EQC campaign where The Weeknd starred in and was the creative director.

Fans have been waiting a long time for After Hours as it’s the singer’s first full-length album since 2016’s Starboy. Despite having many guests appearances, The Weeknd has only released last year’s EP My Dear Melancholy and “Power is Power” a one-off single from the Game of Thrones soundtrack.

If you can’t wait until the album’s release, you can catch The Weeknd in Adam Sandler’s Uncut Gems.
