The Weeknd is one of many artists who ended up rescheduling their tours this year, but that didn’t stop him from surprising fans with an amazing performance. His first augmented-reality concert was released by TikTok, and he used it to tease a brand-new song.
“The Weeknd Experience” was a 20-minute performance featuring the singer’s avatar dressed as his After Hours persona. He performed some of the biggest hits from his latest studio album, including “Pray for Me,” “Blinding Lights,” “Save Your Tears,” and “In Your Eyes.”
The Weeknd was joined by Doja Cat, who’s no stranger to TikTok fame since several of her songs went on to become smash-hits after this social media platform put them on the map. She appeared on the remix of “In Your Eyes,” originally released back in May.
The Weeknd also shared a minute-long snippet of a mystery song we haven’t heard before. If he decides to release it as a single, it will serve as a follow-up to his recently released Juice Wrld collaboration “Smile.”
