Only a few days after destroying his competition at the Billboard Music Awards, The Weeknd absolutely dominated another major music award show. The Canadian superstar topped the list of winners at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards with a total of five wins.

The Weeknd was named as the best male artist and Titanium artist of the year, in addition to winning three awards with his smash hit “Blinding Lights”—song of the year, Titanium song of the year, and TikTok bop of the year. Dua Lipa picked up the award for the best female artist, while Dan + Shay were named the best duo/group of the year.

The list of major winners at this year’s ceremony also included Roddy Ricch with three wins in the hip-hop field, BTS with three awards in the socially voted categories, and Christian Nodal with three awards in the Latin categories. Twenty One Pilots, Harry Styles, and Luke Combs are among the artists who walked away with two trophies each.

The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards took place on May 27th at LA’s Dolby Theatre, with Usher hosting the ceremony and performing a medley of his hits.
