The first trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time has been released and Rosamund Pike is traveling the world with magic and monsters, bringing Robert Jordan’s fantasy world to life.
The fantasy drama is based on Jordan’s book series of the same name and stars Pike as Moiraine, who’s a member of a magical all-female organization that leads five young people on a journey around the world to see who fulfills the prophecy of the Dragon Reborn.
The trailer shows the magical characters traveling around the world going through high fantasy settings with magic and monsters.
Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, and Madeleine Madden are also in the cast.
The Wheel of Time is adopted by showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins. Also executive producing are Larry Mondragon, Rick Selvage, Mike Weber, Ted Field, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz. Pike is a producer and Jordan’s wife is a consulting producer with Brandon Sanderson, who took over writing the books after Jordan passed away.
The first three episodes will premiere on November 19 and new episodes will air each Friday.
