The White Lotus proved to be so successful for HBO that the network commissioned a second season of the limited series which is set to premiere in October. The exact date has yet to be revealed.

The initial six episodes were set at a fictional resort in Hawaii named The White Lotus and followed a week in the life of several guests. Although all seems perfect at first, complex relationships begin to develop between the staff and the vacationers, with someone landing up dead.

The series earned 20 nods at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, including Best Limited Series, making it the second-most nominated television show behind Succession.

The forthcoming season will leave Hawaii behind and head to Sicily with a new round of guests. Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, Steve Zahn, Sydney Sweeney, Murray Bartlett, Jake Lacy, Natasha Rothwell, Alexandra Daddario, and Molly Shannon appeared in the first installment.

Coolidge and Jon Gries are the only cast members returning for round two, as they reprise their roles as Tanya and Greg. They will be joined by Aubrey Plaza, Tom Hollander, Theo James, and F. Murray Abrahams.
