“The Witcher” Season 2 Releases Trailer

Netflix has released the Season 2 trailer for The Witcher—which will debut on December 17—at the first-ever WitcherCon. The global digital convention gave a look into The Witcher games, live-action series, anime films, and panels with cast members Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Mimî M. Khayisa, Paul Bullion, and Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.

The second season will follow Geralt of Rivia (Cavill), who’s convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden and he tries to bring Princess Cirilla to the safest place get knows, which is his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. He must protect her while the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls.

The new season will see the additional cast of  Adjoa Andoh, Cassie Clare, Liz Carr, Graham McTavish, Kevin Doyle, Simon Callow, and Chris Fulton.

Also announced at the virtual event was the upcoming anime movie The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which will be on Netflix on August 23. The film, which tells the story of Vesemir, a young witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for the coin, also got a new trailer.
