There is still a lot for white people to learn.
So, thankfully, Netflix is giving us another season of Dear White People.
Based on an indie film of the same name by Justin Simien, DWP follows a group of Winchester University students who navigate their race amidst humour at the predominately white Ivy League institution.
The satirical series renewal was made by the show’s narrator, Giancarlo Esposito, who was revealed to have a pivotal role in the second season finale.
“Now that I have your attention,” begins Esposito. “I come with a message of truth. To clarify the false information that’s being disseminated around the world today: Dear White People will be returning to Netflix for Season 3. We’ll meet you there.”
We’re already getting our notepads ready.
