You know we’ve reached the end of the year when Spotify releases its annual wrap-up.

For many users, it’s the chance to see how the last 12 months spoke to them musically and to remember the moods and moments of the past year. It is also a chance for us to see which artists had the most impact on our lives.

With Taylor Swift releasing her tenth studio album, it was always expected that the “Anti-Hero” singer would dominate the Spotify charts. Shortly after the release of Midnights in October, the streaming platform announced that it had earned the title of most-streamed album in a single day on Spotify history.

The Grammy Award winner, herself, was the most-streamed female artist of the year, but not the most-listened to overall.

Claiming the top spot was Bad Bunny, who doubled his streams from 2021 with a total of 18.5 billion. The Puerto Rican rapper is no stranger to Spotify’s Wrapped as he has dominated first place for now the third year in a row. His album Un Verano Sin Ti also ranked in first place for most-streamed global albums.
